Teleconferencing Services

Teleconferencing is a crucial tool for businesses, allowing people from different locations to connect and collaborate.

What is Teleconferencing ?

Teleconferencing is a crucial tool for businesses, allowing people from different locations to connect and collaborate. However, traditional teleconferencing systems can be quite expensive and challenging to use, lacking essential features. Video conferencing, on the other hand, requires costly equipment and a significant amount of bandwidth, as well as dedicated rooms for the calls.

In contrast, RSTelecom offers a user-friendly teleconferencing solution, provided for free to their clients. This solution is tailored for business users who want to avoid high equipment and bandwidth expenses.

By using RSTelecom’s teleconferencing solution, businesses can link employees in different offices and remote locations, saving both money and time spent on traveling to physical meetings. This system facilitates collaboration among various divisions, branches, and remote workers, regardless of their location across the country or even the world.

One of the key advantages of RSTelecom’s teleconferencing solution is that it fosters stronger communication within a business. Participants can easily share information and make quicker decisions during these virtual meetings. To join a teleconference, all a participant needs to do is call the specific meeting room and enter a unique pin code.

It’s worth noting that RSTelecom clients are not charged for using this service. They only incur low on-net call rates when calling their meeting room from their RSTelecom VoIP solution. Non-RSTelecom clients can also join the meeting room, but their call charges will be handled and billed by their respective service providers.

How can I prevent delays while transferring local phone numbers?

There are a couple of steps you can take to ensure there are no delays during your local number transfer:

  1. Make sure all of the details on your LOA are correct. Simple mistakes on this form can potentially cause your port request to be rejected.
  2. Do not discontinue your original service before porting is completed. If you do, you risk having your number released and losing it forever.
How can I avoid service interruptions while transferring a business phone number?

Businesses can’t just disconnect their number for a month without significant losses. To help avoid service interruption, you can set up call forwarding to a temporary line from your new provider. Now, any calls made to your primary business number will be automatically forwarded to your temporary line.

Can I port landline numbers to VoIP?

What else should I consider when requesting a geographic number transfer?

Before beginning the porting process, make sure you have reviewed the terms with your existing service provider. If you are in a contract, there may be early termination fees. Also, be sure that your account is in good standing before starting to port. If you have an outstanding balance, your previous provider may choose to terminate your service and release your number before the port is completed.  Finally, be sure to check if your geographic number is portable. In rare instances, a number may not be eligible for porting.

Can customers still reach me during the number porting process?

Yes, if you follow the steps outlined above, your business numbers should remain active throughout the process. For an extra layer of security, you can set up a temporary local number with RSTelecom and forward calls made to your original number until the porting process is complete.
